Joma has announced its national Trail Team for 2026. The brand continues to invest in trail running, and this new lineup shows that clearly. The team includes sixteen athletes who will race in major events across the season. As a result, Joma enters the year with a deep and balanced squad.
A Blend of Experience and New Talent
The roster mixes well‑known names with fresh energy. For example, trail legend Miguel Heras remains one of the key athletes. He has won races such as Transgrancanaria, Transvulcania and Ultrapirineu. His experience gives the team a strong base.
In addition, Gemma Arenas returns after earning bronze at the 2025 Skyrunning Ultra World Championships. Her consistency makes her a reliable part of the group.
Several other athletes continue with Joma. Inés Astrain, a regular in the Golden Trail Series, stays on after a solid year. Pablo Bautista, a two‑time EXP Val d’Aran by UTMB winner, also remains. Ikram Rharsalla, who raced for Spain at the European Running Championship, brings speed and range. Meanwhile, Bel Calero, the Spanish Vertical Kilometer champion, adds climbing strength.
Returning Joma Athletes Strengthen the Core
The team also includes experienced Spanish internationals. Natalia González, Mónica Vega, Guillermo Acosta, Toni Baños and Mario Mirabel all return. Their presence adds stability and depth. Together, they cover a wide range of distances and race styles.
New Additions Bring Fresh Energy
Joma has also added new athletes for 2026. Pere Menéndez, Claudio Díaz, Moana Lilly Kehres and Ainara Uribarri join the project. Each of them has strong results from national and international races. Because of this, the team gains new ambition and momentum.
Supporting Product Development
Beyond racing, the athletes will help Joma test and improve its trail gear. They will use prototypes in real conditions and share feedback with the brand. This process supports Joma’s focus on innovation and durability. In turn, the athletes benefit from equipment designed for elite performance.
Looking Ahead to the 2026 Season
With this lineup, Joma strengthens its position in the trail running world. The brand enters 2026 with clear goals and a strong team. As the season unfolds, these athletes will represent Joma at many of the sport’s biggest events.
